·        Called “The Little Angels Mabambani Self Help Group”, incorporating “The Little Angels Mabambani Nursery School”. "Mabambani" is swahili for "tin sheets", which is what the current building is made from.

·        Located in a small village in Mombasa, Kenya.

·        School currently caters to 102 children, 13 are orphans, 32 children have lost a parent, and the remainders are from very poor families. In general all are very needy.

·        They have grades from Kindergarten, Preschool, Year 1 – Year 3.

·        Government schools only cater from Year 4, and are located approximately 5kms away.

·        The school currently exists as a tin shed the size of 2-3 garden sheds to accommodate the 102 children, who sit on either wooden benches or on the dirt floor.

·        This shed acts not only as a classroom, but as kitchen, storage & orphanage.

·        Costs around 12,000 Kenyan Shillings to feed the children for one month, this equates to approximately $250 Australian Dollars.

·        Teachers have a souvenir stand after school which helps support the funds required to buy food, if there are no tourists, there are no funds.

·        A small piece of land has been granted to them to use for a school, but no funds are available to build the school they so desperately need.

·        They have had building plans donated to build a 3 classroom school, with a small kitchen and storage room.

·        The estimated cost to build this school would be AUD$20,000 – AUD$25,000.
