A huge thank you to Hazel Marshall for keeping me and everyone updated on the progress of the classrooms, the latest photos show the foundations for the second classroom started, and in fact the ground breaking preparation for the third classroom - what a monumental achievement!

Thank you everyone!!!

September 2009 -

I received a very uplifting phone call from the UK the other night, it was Hazel Marshall keeping me updated on the progress of the Little Angels School. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of two wonderful people in the UK, Dr. Paul & Mrs. Pearl Walker, the building of the second class room has been fully funded and is indeed underway! What an amazing achievement, and how very inspiring that such incredibly generous people exist!

Another remarkable achievement is the progress of the vegetable garden. After much needed rain, the garden is in full bloom and producing some wonderful crops which will ensure these children receive the nutrition they so desperately need.

I am awaiting more photos of the great work being achieved for our Little Angels and will share them with you all as soon as possible - till then, please keep us in your hearts and prayers, and we look forward to continuiing these amazing accomplishments!

We now have another way to make donations a little easier!  We have a PayPal account up and running. Now we can accept donations in the form of credit cards, debit cards or even through your own PayPal account! Any donations always gratefully accepted, and every cent will go toward the attainment of our goals! For further details please to to "Donation Details" found on the menu!

Thank you, thank you, thank you

The first classroom is finished!

Yes it's true!  With the help of many, and of course all our wonderful supporters and donations, the first classroom is up and running!

What an amazing effort - thankyou everyone!

This gives us the inspiration to continue with our quest to have 3 classrooms and a storage room built to accomodate these wonderful children.

Hazel & Dave Marshall have just returned and are happy to advise that all is well in Kikambala, and that they were able to hand over additional funding to start a small vegie patch, with a fence to keep out the chickens and unwanted guests!

What a fabulous beginning!

Again thank you to so many people who made this possible, and of course if anyone is interested in donating towards the next classrooms, we can certainly use all the assistance we can get, so please dig deep and help us continue this amazing journey!

The Latest News - March 2009

What a fantastic start to the year! Although I am operating from Australia, I have now joined forces with some other remarkable people who too are helping the Little Angels reach their dreams!

From the other side of the world in England, we have some incredible people including Alison Roberts, Caroline Lloyd and Hazel Marshal, all supporting this fantastic journey to raise enough funds to realise the dream we all have for the Little Angels.

Earlier this year, with the many wonderful donations and support we have all been able to provide, the first classroom was built! What an incredible achievement! Step by step we are realising the dream we all have of seeing these beautiful children given an opportunity to better their education and to learn to be self sufficient, and in so doing, we hope to, in our own small way, make this world a better place to live!

The land was purchased, building materials delivered, and at least the first classroom built, thankyou sincerely to those many people who so kindly helped us to help them. Following are a few recent photos showing the materials for the land, and of course a few of the grateful recipients of this wonderful gift! More photos will follow soon, until then, we again send our thanks and please continue to support us where you can!

And below the construction materials have arrived! The wonderful teachers and guardians of the school, Mwana & Kibibi, proudly show off the materials which soon constitute the new classroom!

December 2008

The school year for 2008 has now ended for "The Little Angels", and it is with great joy that I am able to say that the Year 3 children have now graduated!

They will now be able to attend a Government school, which unfortunately is located some 5km's away, but these children can now look forward to further education knowing they have received the basics in education which will enable them to go on.

As this now frees up some room, the next year will once again bring more children/orphans into our little shed where once again the incredible teachers of "The Little Angels" will try to show these beautiful children that through education there is hope, and that the opportunity to learn will always be there for them.

Therefore it is even more imperative that we raise enough funds to start this building. Even one classroom will alleviate the cramped conditions they currently endure in their little shed.

At present we have raised just over A$1000, which will certainly assist in the first stages of the building, but of course we would like to reach our target to enable the completion of the building.

Small steps, but great rewards - thankyou to all those wonderful people who have already donated, your generosity is so greatly appreciated.

If you are considering donating to this worthy cause, please believe us when we say "every cent counts".

We thankyou in advance and assure you every cent will go to "The Little Angels" to help them realise their dreams and potentials.

Till Soon,

Kindest Regards

Brigitte Atterton
